QHSE

QHSE is at the heart of our group’s business practices. It is among our top corporate priorities. We expect the same approach and same high standards from all Reservoir Group™ subsidiary companies. Being an international group of companies providing different services to the oil & gas industry, we need flexible international standards to give us the required framework.

As such, and where applicable, we strive to operate QHSE management systems that comply with:

  • ISO 9001: 2008 – Quality Management System Standard
  • ISO 14001:2004 – Environmental Management System Standard

  • OHSAS 18001:2007 – Occupational Health & Safety Management System Standard

We believe that QHSE is a core commitment – and a passion – among all Reservoir Group™ employees, regardless of their position within the group. Only by working together can we achieve our objectives as set out in our QHSE statement below.

As Reservoir Group™ has grown, we have found ourselves in the very fortunate position of inheriting many professional QHSE staff and other associated resources that have proven invaluable in supporting and growing group businesses and providing a useful pool of knowledge and experience.

Reservoir Group™ will continue to support and provide all group companies with the required resources to achieve effective QHSE management and implementation.

Reservoir Group™ statement on quality, health, safety and the environment

Our commitment:

  • To provide our customers with the best possible quality products, services and staff.
  • To protect the health, safety and welfare of all stakeholders and other parties involved directly or indirectly in our activities.
  • To prevent pollution and minimise our impact on the global environment.

Policy

Each Reservoir Group™ member company must:

  • Meet all legal requirements and duties bestowed upon them by national or international laws.
  • Comply with Reservoir Group™ and industry standards for QHSE.
  • Intervene and take action in all instances of unsafe acts or non-conformance.
  • Respect each other, other providers and the environment.
  • Strive towards continual improvement.

Goal

Our goal for QHSE is:

  • Zero incidents causing harm to people
  • Zero incidents causing harm to the environment
  • Zero instances of non-conformance that affect the provision of products or services.

These goals are achievable through the dedication, commitment and hard work of all staff and management.

Vision

Our vision is for all group companies to manage QHSE to the international standards ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004, as well as any other applicable standards where appropriate. To this end, Reservoir Group™ will provide continual support and resources to all group companies in order to achieve this vision.

Proactive Processes

Audit – Reservoir Group™ companies should be performing internal audits to verify the effectiveness of any systems in place to manage QHSE. Among Reservoir Group™ QHSE personnel, we have trained IRCA lead auditors who can perform this function and provide full reporting and recommendations.

Inspections – To aid continual improvement, we will regularly inspect group facilities and provide QHSE advice and feedback.

Knowledge Transfer – Reservoir Group™ will share QHSE knowledge, experience and resources within the group and to other parties when applicable. This will ensure that best practices and lessons learned are communicated among all group companies to improve our QHSE culture and practices. We will keep all group companies up to date with the latest news via the QHSE news section on our website and we will provide a knowledge sharing tool to allow the uploading of information.

Reactive Processes

Incident Reporting – all incidents occurring at group companies must be reported – not only those that cause actual harm or damage, but also those that had the potential to cause harm or damage (near miss). Incidents will be reported to Reservoir Group using the on-line tool available on the group intranet (coming soon) or by e-mailing the group QHSE Manager. We will then review the incident and supplied information and further liaise with you.

Incident Investigation- After the incident is reported, an investigation will be required to establish the immediate, underlying and root causes. Once all the causes have been established, corrective actions will be identified and implemented to avoid any recurrence. Finally, the corrective actions will be reviewed for effectiveness which may or may not lead to further actions. The investigation report must be submitted to Reservoir Group™ using the on-line tool available on our intranet (coming soon) or by e-mailing the group QHSE Manager. If the group company has its own competent incident investigator then this process can be carried out in-house. However if it doesn’t, or if the incident is of a particularly serious nature, Reservoir Group can supply a competent person to help or lead the investigation.

Non-Conformance – Any serious non-conformances (defined as “a condition of product or service in which any characteristics do not conform to specifications required and/or stated. This may include failures, deficiencies, defects, malfunctions and the like”) that had a detrimental effect on the provision of product or service should be reported to Reservoir Group™. We will then be more than happy to assist in the investigation and identification of corrective actions if required.

HSE Performance Reporting – Each group company must collate monthly HSE performance statistics and report them to Reservoir Group using the on-line tool available on the intranet (coming soon). The format of reporting will follow that used and recommended by OGP, the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers.
